Appearance:

A rare type of weapon constructed during the Cardinal War for the Vanguard of the Ancient Rune Guards. Simple and powerful, these weapons were self-sustaining and as such anyone could use one, making them essential in evening the odds between the common man and the mages they sought to supress and control. The axe is powered with a special kind of lacrima known as an "Impact" lacrima which is extremely difficult to synthesize even by modern standards. The lacrima itself being special in the way it absorbs kinetic energy while also generating even more, the bigger the more potential energy can be stored within it. As such a big enough lacrima would in theory be able to attain an indefinate amount of kinetic energy and provide itself with the very same energy for self sustainment. The accumalated energy can only be released by physical contact or triggered in a more remote manner with the use of magic.

In the present day they are least to say quite rare seeing as there was relatively few to begin with and most of those were lost as time moved forward. Roland only being in possession of one following his previous employment within the Rune Knights during which his superior officer within the Squadron of Power had granted him his axe upon his death after he was mortally wounded in combat and later put to rest by Roland himself.

This weapon gains one "counter" at the end of each post after having landed a single hit on just about anything. The axe may charge up as much as 3 counters at one time and may never exceed this amount at any time. Also, any hit landed will reset the amount of tokens attached to it. Without any counters the axe will hit for C-Rank damage, with 1 it will hit for B-rank damage, with 2 it will hit for A-rank damage and with 3 counters it will hit for devastating S-rank damage. Patience being key to utilizing this weapon properly.

Flavour: The axe itself will gain a bright aura of vaying colour dependant on the number of tokens set. 1 = White, 2 = Yellow and 3 = Red
