Thirty five years ago, people in in Cheshire City began to disappear. No one quite knew why, and most didn’t believe it was happening. It was mainly the poor that were disappearing, meaning that most people turned a blind eye. Even the magic council turned away a request for an official investigation. At first, it seemed as if only two people a month, once every solstice, were being taken away. However, as time went on, the city got smaller and smaller. Five years after the disappearances began, the cities population began to noticeably decline. The amount of people being taken had also grown exponentially, growing from just two a year, to two a month. Once every full moon, someone new would disappear.
With the city’s population being almost a third lower of what it was before, the magic council finally decided to send in some rune knights to investigate. Three days into the job, the rune knights disappeared. Along with these rune knights, however, disappeared a young girl. The seven year old daughter of a Nobleman, one of the most powerful men in the town.
The Noblemen sent out a request to mages across the land. Men and women came from across the continent, each time failing, each time they would go missing, and each time the Noblemen would raise the reward. One day, a year after the Noblemen sent out the request, a team of 3 wandering mages appeared. They went off, and discovered what was going on, a powerful, S-class mage had been taking in human leaves, draining them slowly of their life source and using it to power herself. Almost everyone who had been taken in the past 3 years were still alive, and the three mages made haste to take out the witch. However, she was too powerful, so they tricked her, and sealed her away in a crystal gem.
Over 65 peoples were saved, however, the Noblemen’s daughter was not one of them.
The gem was stored in the Noblemen’s house for safe keeping.
Now, almost thirty years later, someone had broken into the house, and broken the gem. With the gem now broken, the Noblemen’s remaining daughter has sent out a request to have mages come back. Currently, the dark mage hasn’t had enough time to regain her full strength. Your job is not to reseal her into a crystal, but to kill her before she regains her full power, and starts to wreak havoc on the city once more.

Enemies:
- Weak/Normal- Fire Familiars : These guys are all C-rank, but pack a mighty punch. She can summon all of them at once, or simple a few at a time. All must be killed. They fire C-rank blasts of fire, and double in power if hit with fire attacks.
- Strong- Shadow Familiar; Hercules: By sucking the life out of one of the three or four people she has already kidnapped, the witch manages to summon this massive, S-class creature. He has no real magical potential, but deals S-rank damage with every hit.
- Boss-Witch: She uses shadow make magic as a primary, no longer relying on her summoning magic (her secondary). She has the remaining strength at this point of an A-rank mage. (must be beaten to repeat the quest)
