    Arctic's wind. Empty Arctic's wind.

Post by Yuuichiro Tue May 10, 2016 7:15 am

    Arctic's wind. IlBs0Ll

    Magic Name Here: (Arctic's wind.)
    Element Here: (ice.)
    Primary/Secondary: (Primary.)
Character Specific/Non-Character Specific (No,because it was passed down by his family. It is a common magic.)
    Offensive/Defensive/Supportive/Mixed: (Offensive.)

    Arctic's wind. IdcNoDK

(Arctic Wind is an ice based magic which focuses on freezing and slowing down enemies, chilling them to the bone and hindering the functioning of their organs. It can also be used to create ice creatures, who on touch apply the same chilling effect.)

    Arctic's wind. MMD53Gy

    D Rank-

    1. Frozen Fury: The user can enhance the power of this magic with their emotions. Strong emotions can enhance the damage of spells by 50%. However if such a strong emotional state lasts for longer than two posts they will lose control over their magic, at which point they immediately lose 20% of their maximum magic and can't cast spells the next post as they have to regain control. Losing control also costs the user 10% of their maximum health.

    2. Unrelenting Cold: Any spell which affects a creature automatically slows it for 20% for two posts. If the target is hit by another Arctic Wind spell while they're already affected by Unrelenting Cold the duration is refreshed and the slow is increased to 30%.
Counts as a debuff (meaning it follows the Buff Rules and can be resisted). Notable heat (such as being in a desert or being in the presence of a heat based spell of the same rank) will remove one stack of Unrelenting Cold and reduce the duration by one post.

    Arctic's wind. 9nY0v5X

    1. This magic focuses on affecting many foes in a large area
    2. All spells cast through this magic have very little to no cast time.
    3. Due to plants being vulnerable to cold and water easily freezing over this magic overpowers nature and water based spells of the same rank and deals double damage to plant and water based opponents

    Arctic's wind. KWvO0iy

[*]This frigid magic always hurt allies unless the ally is an ice mage as well. .
[*]This ice based magic doesn't do well against fire magic (spells are automatically overpowered by fire spells of the same rank).
[*]Fire based opponents only take half the damage they would otherwise take due to the spells partially thawing/melting upon contact
[*]If the user gets too emotional they can lose control of their magic.

    D-Rank(3):
         Strengths:

    [*]

    1. Fast attack that instantly deals damage.
    2. Can be used for pretty much anything a normal blade can be used for.
    3. Applies a strong slow upon hit.

    Weaknesses:

    1. Has a one post preparation time. However user can still do anything which doesn't require the use of that hand (movement, attacking with the other hand, casting one-handed spells).
    2. Heat based opponents only receive one stack of Unrelenting Cold, which only lasts for one post.
    3. Has a very short range.
    4. Upon creation the blade only lasts for a very short while.

    Appearance:
    Light blue.

    Name: Leopard Paw
    Rank: D
    Type: Ice, Offensive
    Duration: 2 posts
    Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: The user gathers their cold magic in one hand, preparing it for the next strike. Upon hitting the target with that hand sharp ice will rip through the target in the form of a leopard. Deals 1.5 D-Rank damage in addition to the unarmed strike damage. If there is another target directly behind the original target within 5 yards the leopard will deal 1 D-Rank damage to that target before shattering and melting.

    [*]

    Strengths:

    1. Instant damage.
    2. Can hit two targets standing in a line if positioned correctly.

    Weakness:

    1. User has to actually hit the target.
    2. Leopard is purely cosmetic if there's only a single target.
    3. Leopard Paw activates upon releasing the magic gathered in the hand. Meaning if the user swings and misses they'll have wasted the spell.

    Appearance:
    Light blue.

    Name: Ice Shield
    Rank: D
    Type: Ice, Defensive
    Duration: 1 post
    Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: The user gathers and freezes the water in the air, creating a flat ice barrier three yards wide and three yards tall. This barrier acts as a physical obstacle and also protects against attacks. The barrier is so cold that it harms anybody but the user with 1 D-Rank damage upon touching it.

    [*]
    Strengths:

    1. Instantly creates a shield that blocks twice the user's rank in damage.
    2. Deals damage to anybody who touches it and afflicts Unrelenting Cold.
    3. Also functions as a physical barrier.

    Weaknesses:

    1. Heat based opponents are unaffected by the shield.
    2. While large enough to protect the user and a couple of potential allies it isn't large enough to protect against truly large attacks, which would simply
    3. Unless the user warns allies they might also end up accidentally touching the shield and getting hurt.
    4. Short duration. Primarily works to defend against a single barrage or to surprise a charging enemy.

Hello! Name's Kitty and I'll be grading your application today. If ever you have questions, don't hesitate to ask me. All edits will be made in this color.

What's so special about this particular magic? Why does this stand out from everything else? Add more history and or plot to it and I believe that you will be fine.

    D Rank-

Losing control also costs the user 10% of their maximum health. Okays, so the gist of it is that you get mad and, BAM!, power boost correct? This lasts for at most 1 post so that you don't get a drawback correct? If so, then I need a cooldown/how many times you can activate per thread. It will count as a measure so it won't easily be abused.

    2. Unrelenting Cold: Any spell which affects a creature automatically slows it for 20% for two posts. If the target is hit by another Arctic Wind spell while they're already affected by Unrelenting Cold the duration is refreshed and the slow is increased to 30%. Creature... Are you talking about yourself or something else in particular? You also speak of stacking, I need you to make a sort of graph or chart to clearly show how much 1 stack does, 2 stacks does, etc. as well as how much the effects it does per each stack or a combo of stacks. Go into technical details and I'll look at it again. Furthermore, please state how long each lasts and how many stacks you can hold at one given time

    Arctic's wind. 9nY0v5X

    1. This magic focuses on affecting many foes in a large area
    2. All spells cast through this magic have very little to no cast time. Although it seems as fluff, I'll be taking it to its most undermining form: cast time. If you wish to do this, then I will require you to state that even though you have less of a cast time than most magics, your weakness is that it has a much higher cool down than normal. This provides a balance between cast time and other magics.
    3. Due to plants being vulnerable to cold and water easily freezing over this magic overpowers nature and water based spells of the same rank and deals double damage to plant and water based opponents.

[*]This frigid magic can sometimes hurt allies if not used carefully.

    [spoiler=D-Rank(3)]
    Name: Ice Blade
    Rank: D
    Type: Ice, Offensive.
    Duration: 1 post.
Cooldown: 2 posts Need a higher cooldown. Perhaps 3 or 4 seeing as this also has to do with stacking one of your abilities.
Description: The user covers their hand in ice, shaping it into a sharp and chilling blade. This blade is sharp enough to deal 1 D-Rank damage upon hitting an enemy with it, and instantly applies two stacks of Unrelenting Cold rather than one.

         Strengths:

    [*]

    1. Fast attack that instantly deals damage. Reword instantly. Perhaps 'that, if it hits opponent directly, instantly' so that it doesn't leave room for auto hitting.
    2. Can be used for pretty much anything a normal blade can be used for.
    3. Applies a strong slow upon hit. I don't understand 'strong slow upon hit,' can you please explain it to me? ^^;

    Weaknesses:

    Appearance:
Light blue. Please provide more visual. How big is the blade? Do you have a picture? Does it have jagged sides or a a straight edge blade? Etc.

    Name: Leopard Paw
    Rank: D
    Type: Ice, Offensive
    Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts Need higher cooldown. Perhaps 1 or 2 more posts.
This is an area of effect spell then?

    [*]

    Strengths:

    1. Instant damage. Reword to something similar I suggested in the above spell grading. this is to avoid conflict of 'auto hitting'
    2. Can hit two targets standing in a line if positioned correctly. If positioned correctly.. You mean 15 feet (3 yards) within each other in a perfect line, correct?

    Weakness:

    1. User has to actually hit the target.
    2. Leopard is purely cosmetic if there's only a single target.
    3. Leopard Paw activates upon releasing the magic gathered in the hand. Meaning if the user swings and misses they'll have wasted the spell.

    Appearance:
Light blue. Same as above, need more visual. As well as the range it goes.

Does it harm other ice users as well?

    [*]
    Strengths:

    1. Instantly creates a shield that blocks twice the user's rank in damage. Kkays, so a C rank spell as this is a D rank shield ^^
    2. Deals damage to anybody who touches it and afflicts Unrelenting Cold.
    3. Also functions as a physical barrier.

    Weaknesses:

    1. Heat based opponents are unaffected by the shield.
    2. While large enough to protect the user and a couple of potential allies it isn't large enough to protect against truly large attacks, which would simply would simply what?
    3. Unless the user warns allies they might also end up accidentally touching the shield and getting hurt.
    4. Short duration. Primarily works to defend against a single barrage or to surprise a charging enemy.

    Appearance.

    [*]
Light blue. Sam as the last two spells concerning more visual.

Again, if you have any questions or I misinterpreted anything, don't hesitate to tell/ask me! Bump when edits are done and completed~
