Children of the Ocean are a race of beings that were created by the Sea God himself, or so the story goes. They have also been called many other names and misidentified throughout the years for other creatures. The bases of them is they are a group of humanoid like creatures that seem to have a certain eco friendly philosophy in their culture. These beings have long since been driven from the world of man, many due to the hand of man itself. Being a half breed Ethan was able to go by for decades un-noticed and has lost many of his people's signature traits like their distinctive olive skin tone, greenish hair color, and webbed hands/feet. The only thing gifted to him was his distinctive blue eyes and slowed aging body, along with his ability to breath underwater.
Personality:
As a boy Ethan was surrounded by many magical and powerful beings that he admired greatly. These beings were the things that myth were written about, from an early age he was told their stories and adventures leading him to desire a grand adventure for himself. This trait has gotten him in several situations throughout the years but nothing that his charm and whit could not get him out of. Ethan is a person that constantly is looking for the next great big conquest, that being said it is safe to say that he has never stayed tied down to a single location for very long.

While he holds a high position among his guild he has shown to be rather fickle in staying behind a desk for too long, call it ADD call it lack of ambition but in reality Ethan knows that the world holds so much mysteries and treasures that he cannot help but find them all.

Ethan is a rather calm minded person but there seems to be something that just gets on his nerves and that would be the desecration of historical relics and buildings. Many times he has gotten in fights with mayors and corporations that wish to tear down historic areas of Fiore or fanatics that wish to burn books that discuss religions or nations that oppose their own ideas. Because of such a love for the past and social freedom he desires Ethan has made more than one or two enemies out there. While he does not condone the Dark Guilds of Fiore he seems to not bat an eye to most of their antics as long as they are not too violent or corrupt. In all honesty Ethan is really using his position to further he’s own desires and ambitions and as of late many are finding fault with that.

Likes:
Books: Ethan has a rather large collection of books on the histories of Fiore and other nations along with religions, cults, magic, and nearly anything else that one can think of. He’s main collection resides in his private residence that many are unaware of while he keeps a hefty collection at the guild’s building

Antiques: Ethan’s home is filled with dozens and dozens of antiques some are even much much older than him. A great deal of his jewels seem to go to further this hobby of his.

Dogs: He likes dogs, who doesn’t?
Dislikes:
Cold Weather: He does not really enjoy winter and will often leave the northern areas of the world to seek some tropical climate during these times.

Blueberries: He loves all other fruit but it seems blueberries upset his stomach

Heights: He gets rather nervous and antsy when he is over 10 meters in the air and not in some sort of secure structure.


Fears:
Free Falling: This is something that haunts his dreams from time to time. It may be the reason why he has never learned any flight based skills.

Mice: They carry germs and have red devil eyes. He will punt them if they come close to him.

Dragons: His mother told him the horrors that the dragons caused to the world during their reign. This has caused him to have an unhealthy fear of them.


Motivations:
Expand his collection: As stated before many of Ethan’s jewels go towards his collection so it only makes sense that one of his motivations is to grow that collection.

Find his people: When he was younger there was a genocide of his entire mother’s clan. He thinks that there are a few left but he has no idea where they might be.

Discover the secrets of the world: His passion is to collection the history of the world. By doing so he has came across multiple mysteries that have yet to be solved. He wishes to figure out those mysteries and perhaps even write a book over it.
