Alchemy (錬事の魔法アルケミー, Arukemī lit. Matter Tempering Magic) is a special type of magic that has been touted as one of the very foundations of magic itself; or at least, the prototype to Molding Magic and Elemental Magic, being one of the One Hundred and Eight Cardinal Codes; and in this case, it is the "stone from which every form of elemental and shaping magic was hewn". Alchemy revolves around the manipulation of the flow of matter- this technique is noted to be composed of both science and sorcery. Unlike regular magic, Alchemy is focused around the altercation of matter toward scientifically practical ends, and to the extent, it allows the user to induce complete destruction or recreation of anything they so desire.
