Sour food. The electrifying taste of something, especially candy, is one of his favorite things since it reminds him of his father.
Vodka. The extremely bitter taste appeals to him.
The cold. Cold makes him feel alert. The colder, the better.

Dislikes:

Sweet food. He would rather eat something spicy or sour.
Wine. Even though it is a bit sour, wine is still too sweet for his tastes.
Excessive heat. When he is hot and sweaty, he feels like he is dying.

Fears:

Losing his father’s pistol. The last memento of his father, pressed into his hands as he died, the pistol is precious to Skylar and he could not bear to lose it.
Discovering that his sister was killed. Finding his sister and finding his father’s killer are two of Skylar’s biggest ambitions, and he cares for his sister deeply. Finding out she was dead all along would break him.
Darkness. Skylar had had his path lit for him his whole life. To be swallowed in darkness with no light is his worst fear.

Motivations:

Finding his little sister. When he was young, his sister went missing, and he has been searching for her ever since.
Becoming the strongest mage he can be. His own father gave Skylar this ambition in his dying words. Because of this, he strives everyday to better himself.
Finding who killed his father. Ever since his father died right in front of him, Skylar has striven to find his killer and exact vengeance.

This tattoo branches around his guild mark, making it seem like a part of the tattoo.
