ソロモンの鍵 Soromon' Nokagi 'Key of Solomon' also known as 'Magni Regis Codex' Translation: Great King Codex. Sometimes shortened to as 'The Codex'
ソロモンの鍵 Soromon' Nokagi 'Key of Solomon' is a very old and powerful grimoire that has created by the late Sage King Solomon. It has gone by many of many different names and held by many different sorcerers and witches before disappearing for years.
Soromon' Nokagi allows the wielder to utilize an ancient form of magic through the codex known as 文学ソウル Bongaku Soru 'Literary Soul'. Literary Soul is an extremely rare magic that allows the user to write down magical spells, symbols, or arrays and activate them to create the desired effect. Because of Soromon Nokagi most of the spells are already written down for the mage it just requires an activation. The activation can happen through the pages itself, or through the written scriptures the user can create. The pages, symbols, written scriptures and arrays are all within the users control to manipulate. They can freely control and move multiple sheets of the Codex's paper with a simple thought even changing it's size, form, mass and density. They can use their own hands to imprint written scriptures and symbols on structures and matter.
The Great King Codex itself allows access to a plethora of magical spells and knowledge. Because of the structure of this magic the user is capable of a variety of things, making it a very versatile style of magic. One can increase their own physical abilities through the use of symbols like strength, speed, reaction, stamina and durability. Increase one senses and perception. Morph the sheets of paper into weapons and other constructs for use. Use the codex paper's or symbols to release powerful energy waves, beams, pressures, explosions, spheres and traps to damage and stun the opponent. Create clones and exoskeletons to aid in battle. Defensively use the codex papers to make shields, barriers, spell reflectors, bindings and restrictive spells and seals. Even more advance usage to seal beings and items in the book itself as a form of dimensional storage.
Soromon Nokagi itself is 'alive' in a sense. It's original creator the Sage King Solomon, gave it a form of A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) to work as an O.S. (Operating System) for the book and it's uses of spells. It goes by the name A.R.K.A.N.A (Arkana). Arkana is designed to help the wielder in battle and in everyday use. But over the years Arkana has developed a persona of her own, and can decided to no longer function or help if she does not wish it. But this only happens when she is aggravated, feeling misused or 'in her feelings'.
